The 6 Day Luxury Georgia Motorcycle Tour
The First Ride: Day 1 of the Georgia Motorcycle Tour
Join us on our adventure through the most famous wine region on a Georgia Motorcycle Tour. As we prepare for our first day on the road, we anticipate the picturesque views of endless wine fields blending seamlessly with steppe-like landscapes. The wine history of this region dates back over 8000 years, and it’s clear that life here revolves around wine.
We start our journey in the capital of the region, Telavi, where we enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out to explore the vines. Our first stop is Tsinandali, a historic wine complex once owned by Georgian aristocrats. This magnificent estate served as the private wine cellar of Prince Alexander Chavchacadze and has now been renovated into a luxurious hotel, the Radisson Collection Tsinandali Estate.
After a long period of abandonment, the complex has been restored to its former glory, and wine is still being made on the estate. We indulge in a degustation of the finest wines, and then dine in the open air theatre. The entire experience is truly magical.
As we settle in for the night, we are in awe of the stunning surroundings and the rich history that surrounds us. Our journey through Georgia’s wine country has only just begun, and we can’t wait to see what else this beautiful region has in store for us.

Glorious Caucasus: Day 2 of the Georgia Motorcycle Tour
As we bid farewell to Kakheti, we set our sights on the majestic Greater Caucasus Mountain range. Today, Georgia’s natural diversity will be on full display, and we can hardly contain our excitement. We leave the tranquil wine fields behind and venture into the verdant hills of the Gombori pass before making our way towards Kazbegi.
This region boasts mountains higher than any other in Europe, and we are in for an unforgettable ride. The twisty road takes us around snow-capped peaks, over dizzying passes, and through picturesque valleys. It’s a motorcycling dream come true.
Our next destination is the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, a 14th-century masterpiece surrounded by the mighty Mt. Kazbeg and other breathtaking peaks. The road up to the church is a steep serpentine, but the views from the top are well worth the climb.
But before we head to our accommodations for the night, there are a few optional dirt tracks to explore. We rev up our engines and put some dust in the air as we race towards abandoned villages and ancient fortresses.
As the day draws to a close, we check into the stylish Rooms Hotel, a beautifully renovated Soviet-era sanatorium. The views from the hotel are nothing short of spectacular, and we bask in the glory of the rugged mountain landscape that surrounds us. Day 3 begins and we set on a journey to the quaint town of Borjomi. This hidden gem is famous for its lush nature, verdant landscapes, and soothing thermal baths. While Borjomi water may not be world-renowned, it has earned a special place in the hearts of many Post-Soviet citizens. Its reputation dates back to Tsarist times when the royal elite would flock to Borjomi for its restorative properties. After the revolution, the Soviet elite continued the tradition, making Borjomi their go-to destination for rest and relaxation.
As we hit the road, we are greeted by a feast for the senses. The stunning scenery that surrounds us takes our breath away, and we can hardly believe our eyes. Mystical Region in Racha: Day 4 of the Georgia Motorcycle Tour
As we embark on Day 4 of our motorcycle tour, we head back to Georgia’s spectacular North, to the mystical region of Racha. This hidden gem often goes unnoticed by foreign tourists, but its serene calmness, abundant lakes, and impressive mountains have earned it the nickname “Switzerland of the East”.
For this leg of our journey, we trade in luxury hotels for a more authentic experience. We will be staying at an upscale family guesthouse, where we can immerse ourselves in the local culture and get to know the real Georgia.
Our home for the night is Temur’s guesthouse, a true labor of love. Almost everything you see has been built and made by Temur himself, including the impressive bear and wolf skins adorning the walls. His wife, meanwhile, is a master of Racha’s culinary specialties, and we can’t wait to indulge in her delicious creations.
In the garden, we are treated to the freshest local ham, smoked to perfection, along with homemade chacha and freshly baked bread from the stone oven. And if that wasn’t enough, on most nights we are serenaded by live traditional Georgian music, adding to the already magical ambiance of the garden.
This is Georgian hospitality at its finest, and we feel lucky to be a part of it. As we settle in for the night, surrounded by the warm glow of the garden and the sounds of the music, we know that we are experiencing something truly special.

The Final Ride: Day 6 of the Georgia Motorcycle Tour
As we embark on the final day of our Georgia motorcycle tour, we can’t help but feel a sense of bittersweet excitement. Today, we’ll be connecting Georgia’s East and West, taking small windy roads through the hills and mountains that exemplify the natural diversity we’ve encountered over the past week.
Our journey begins in Gori, where we set out on a beautiful secondary road to Mtskheta. With little traffic, many turns, and stunning views, this ride is a true testament to the beauty of Georgia. As we make our way towards the Didgori Battle Memorial, we’re met with brand new tarmac that seems to have been made for motorcycle riding.
The memorial itself was built in remembrance of the Georgian-Seljuk wars. Despite being outnumbered, Georgia emerged victorious against the Seljuk Turks – an event that ignited one of its most prosperous eras. As we take in this historic site and reflect on its significance, we can’t help but feel grateful for this unforgettable experience.
But our adventure isn’t over yet. With even more windy roads ahead, we enter Tbilisi and are treated to breathtaking views over the city as far as the horizon. It’s hard not to feel a sense of awe at how far we’ve come – both literally and figuratively – over these past six days.
As our journey comes to a close, it’s clear that this motorcycle tour Georgia has been about so much more than just riding through Georgia’s stunning landscapes. It’s been about immersing ourselves in its rich history and culture, meeting new people along the way, and experiencing all that this incredible country has to offer.
