NIKA PINTURIA

NIKA PINTURIA

CO-OWNER

THIS IS NIKA. IGNORE THE SERIOUS LOOK ON HIS FACE HERE, HES ACTUALLY A JOYFUL FELLA

Introducing first: Nika Pinturia, the COO of the company and owner of one of the most glorious beards in Georgia. A proud Mingrelian (meaning he’s from the Georgian region Samagrelo), and truly a jack of all traits. He used to be a dentist in the past, a medic in the war, but now works as a tour guide to be around the things he really likes most; motorcycles and cars. A self-proclaimed hater of the city life. The man loves to be out in the nature, go out hiking/camping, and to do some bareback horse-riding (I kid you not). Fluent in Georgian, Mingrelian, English and Russian. It’s hard to find a more chilled out individual on this globe.

ALEXANDER MECHANICURI

ALEXANDER MECHANICURI

MECHANICAL WIZARD

SANDRO. LOOK AT THAT GLORIOUS BOLD HEAD OF HIS.

Moving on to Alexander. Born and raised in Georgia, he’s our Mechanical wizard who knows everything about anything with an engine. He has been working with cars and motorcycles all his life. He even ran a motorcycle-mechanic shop in frik’n New York for 2 years.

DIMA BADRISHA JACHVILIAN

DIMA BADRISHA JACHVILIAN

ARCHAEOLOGIST & TOUR GUIDE

*DIMA ACTUALLY HATES SMOKING NOWADAYS.

Dima is an archaeologist with plenty of projects in and outside of Georgia under his belt: for instance, he was part of the discovery of winemaking evidence in Georgia dating back 8000 years. His knowledge on local history is vast and his way of communicating stories and anecdotes to our guests is immaculate. Dima is a proud Svan guy, quite rightfully so, for Shvan (Svaneti) is one of the most beautiful mountainous regions to be found in the Caucasus. The regions culture goes back millennia, full of towers, legends, ancient rites and paganism.

WILLEM VAN HOUTEN

WILLEM VAN HOUTEN

CO-OWNER

THIS IS WILLEM, PERFORMING SOME OLDSCHOOL REPAIRS

Willem is a Dutch guy who’s been in been living in Tbilisi since 2014, speaks the language well, and knows about all the hidden gems. Working in the past at the Dutch embassy, and the odd some part-time acting gig (check out the video and don’t try to laugh too hard). For over seven years Willem has been a tour guide for Mototravel Georgia-Tbilisi: touring around the country by motorcycle or a big ass 4×4 to share the beauty of the countries natural, cultural and culinary delights.

EVERT BROLSMA

EVERT BROLSMA

CO-OWNER

THIS IS EVERT.

Then there’s Evert, a fellow Dutch guy and founder of Mototravel. Since 2015 he has been going back and forth to the country. Soon after he gave up his bank job in the Netherlands to make it in the promised land. As a tour guide Evert excels in telling random-ass stories and real life anecdotes of Georgia that are both fascinating and guaranteed to make you giggle at least a few times. His late night jokes are famed and notorious around many motorcycle & travelling communities.

GEORGE AMIRANASHVILI

GEORGE AMIRANASHVILI

GUIDE

DEFINATELY THE OLDEST PERSON WORKING WITH US

But.. with age comes experience and wisdom. Anyone can pick up on those things while travelling with George. The amount of secret spots, hidden gems and lost trails he knows are paramount. He sometimes disguises himself behind fake fancy clothing. However, once you find yourself up in the high mountains with him you know he is the real deal.

DEMETRE PANIASHVILI

DEMETRE PANIASHVILI

GUIDE

DEMETRE SHINING ON THE RUSTAVI RACE TRACK

Demetre’s energy about Georgia and riding motorcycles is contagious. Besides hosting and riding Georgia’s wilderness he enjoys his days on the track, sometimes even bringing back some trophies to our HQ. If you ride with him you will soon notice how naturally he moves on a motorcycle. More than once he has made our guests leave Georgia as a much more skilled rider than as they came in.

Giga Ghurjia

Giga Ghurjia

Manager Mototravel Kutaisi

Giga is the brand new manager of Mototravel’s Kutaisi branch. He knows all the best routes and most amazing places that Western Georgia has to offer. As a token of his love for motorcycles, at age 14 he took the liberty of riding (some would argue stealing) his fathers motorcycle. Ironically enough a few years ago Giga build his son his very own motorcycle.

Giga is a solid mechanic. This partly comes from his experience with his motorcycle shop. He also founded a bikers hub in his hometown Tskaltubo.
